ELS help

Featured Replies

I can not seem to get the ELS display to come up.  I have tried every combination of keys I can think of.  I am using an ELS vehicle and can even see the scroll lock coming on and off in the bottom of the screen, but that is it.  Can anyone help?

PS: I have also tried uninstall and reinstall OpenIV and rebooting my computer

If you're using CTRL P to open the console, that's the problem.  That pauses the game.

Go into ELS's INI, look for "TogInfoPanl =", change to 85. Now CTRL U will open it.

That sort of worked.  I'm using Captain14's ESL pack and the display showed up on the first car, but was glitchy with the directionals not showing up and a flickering extra spotlight appearing.  It just refused to show up on any of the other vehicles.

Captain14's pack is not ELS enabled.  His pack was released long before ELS came out.  His cars are ELS style lights, hence why his pack comes with custom carcols. ELS will work with all cars, but you need to modify the VCF accordingly so the extras aren't used.  You can still activate lights and sirens, but you will not be able to use light stages or custom patterns.

If you want ELS specific cars, browse the mods section for cars that specifically say "ELS."

Thank you!  I was actually just downloading a different one to see if that might be it.  Appreciate all the help.
