Help installing Rage hook [Retail]

Featured Replies

I am trying to install the LSPDFR mod but I am having a persistent problem. When I try to install Rage Hook I get a message saying my GTA V version isn't supported, I looked at my version on the bottom left of the window and I see "Grand Theft Auto V v0.0.0.0 Retail NOT SUPPORTED" which I find is strange as I did legitimately purchase the game from Steam so to me it should say Steam not retail but I may not know any better and my inner noob is kicking in.

So how would I go about installing Rage Hook in order to get LSPDFR to work? Would I need to update my game from somewhere or would I need to do something else?

I've had this happen to me. Completely reinstalling GTA was the only thing that fixed it.

I'm not familiar with that error message and its relationship to RPH, but try one more time from the start. Download the most recent version of the Rage Plugin Hook here (https://ragepluginhook.net/Downloads.aspx). Download and save to your desktop, then transfer to your main GTA5 folder all the contents of the rage plugin hook EXCEPT the SDK and Licenses folder. Again, transfer the plugins folder and everything else from the rage plugin hook download EXCEPT the SDK and Licenses folders.

Now, right click on the Rage Plugin Hook inside your GTA5 main folder, and select "Run as administrator." The hook with then launch and ask you a few questions. After you choose whether to make a backup or not (it will make sense when you open as it will prompt you), you will come across a screen where you can change preferences. Look to the tab where you determine which plugins load upon launching the hook. Personally, I set this to "load all plugins at start", which will automatically launch LSPDFR when you go on duty.

I can try to find a video that I found most helpful on this, but Youtube it and you will see about 8 million videos showing how to install the RPH if this isn't any help to you.

***Not going to lie though, I think you have a lot more going on troubleshooting wise than the RPH. Will the game let you play normally without going on duty or anything related to LSPDFR? If not, I think it would point to a much more fundamental issue issue you're having. Others on here will have a lot more to offer than I'm capable of on this front.
