Im still having a problem with my police vehicles. when i try to change the livery with simple trainer it wont let me. i checked the vehicle.meta and each police car has FLAG_HAS_LIVERY. i dont know how to fix it. the all the cars support multiple liveries since they each came with over 4

When you say they came with over 4 liveries, were the liveries already on the car?  If so, as long as the meta is right, it should switch, especially via trainer.

yeah like one of the cars was bxbugs 2014 charger which comes with 8 liveries but when i replace those with the ones i want, that are made for that car. i cant switch between any of them

Your initial post made it sound like the liveries weren't switching in game when choosing a different one via trainer.

 

To replace liveries, make sure you click "edit mode" before clicking into the .ytd.  Then click the section titled "blank_sign_1" or whatever number you want and drag and drop the image.

 

Make sure the skin you're using has the exact same name.  Such as "cvpi_sign_1"

 

Then click edit mode again and it should be good.

switching with the trainer is the problem, everything matches up, the skin numbers and the vehicle.meta but in game, i open the trainer to switch liveries theres a 0 like there arent any other skins

Go into the .ytd for the model.  Scroll down until you find the skins.  Verify the one you want is actually there.

 

Also, if the car has a +hi.ytd, you also need to add the texture there as well.

bxbugs 2014 charger has a +hi.ytd so do i just import the skins to there as awell since there is no skins to replace in the +hi.ytd? thanks for the help btw

The +hi.ytd should have skins in there as well if it's not changing for you.  Don't import it, find the texture in the +hi.

the +hi.ytd included for the 2014 charger by bxbugs doesnt have liveries. the police2.ytd does tho and i replaced the ones in .ytd

hey, maybe someone can help me. i cant seem to change livery on 2013 harley davidson electroglide in the policeb slot, i pulled the vehicle.meat and inserted flag_has_livery and in vmenu when i click liveries it say this vehicle has no liveries with a sad face and says go back

I believe the carvariations.meta for each vehicle also has a section related to liveries. Havn't played with it myself, but could be the source of the issue.

ive already tried that, but the model didnt come with a carvariations file and i cant find it in open iv for policeb

mods -> update -> update.rpf -> x64 -> data -> carvariations.ymt

 

Just checked, it's in there.
