Converting .wft to .z3d

Featured Replies

Hey again :P

I was wondering if someone could clear a few things up for me. I'm just preparing things for a car mod I'm getting ready, however a lot of the assets on the development section of LSPDFR are for GTA IV, and are in .wft. I wondered if someone could clear up whether I'd need zmod2 or if zmod3 can handle it.

Many thanks!

You can load Zmodeler2 .z3d saved files in Zmodeler3 but the meshes will most likely have no loaded textures. You'd have to re-assign the textures and assign an appropriate GTA V shader to those existing materials. That is provided the asset you've downloaded is in .z3d format.

On the other hand, if its in .wft format then you've got no other option than to first import into Zmodeler 2 and save as a .z3d before you can open it with Zmodeler3. After that, refer to the first point I've mentioned for setting up the textures and materials.

Damn, so I'd have to spend more money? XD I don't know what to say to that. Thanks anyway!

You don't necessarily have to spend on Zmod 2, you could instead request someone who has Zmodeler2 just to save it into a .z3d and send to you privately.  If I was in your shoes I'd probably do that since its a waste to spend on software for a game you won't use.

Ahh. Yes, I never thought of that. I  may buy it just to cut time. Depends how I feel after I've ate lunch.

Thanks again!

Edit: Yup, I'll have to find someone to do it.
