Whenever I hit the P key typing something into the Rage console, the game's pause menu comes up. After exiting the Rage console, and the pause menu, the game freezes. Infinitely. I have to exit and reload the game. This issue never occurred before. Please help.

Sounds like when you "close" Rage, it's still open, hence the infinite freeze.  I assume you tried closing it [the console] with F4?

 

Have you modified anything recently with your game?

I only close with F4. 

Haven't modified a thing.

When you exit the Rage and pause menus, have you already loaded something? Such as a plugin? or are you just instantly closing it because of the pause menu?

Doesn't matter if I load anything; only arises if I press P. Experimented earlier by pressing just P in the console, then exited with F4, and the same issue was there.

I recently reinstalled my game as well, but the issue occurred before and still does now
