Lights are really dim.

Yes, i know there have been threads with this problem already and by reading them i managed to find only one solution, setting Post FX to High or above. However, i am running Post FX on Ultra and the lights still appear incredibly dim.

I also found someone saying that installing visual enhancement mods solves that, but i don't think my GTX 970 & i5-6500 setup can haul all the mods + visual mods.

Is there any other way to fix those damn dim lights?  A visual mod that won't fry my 970 and solves the problem without making my game look like Disneyland made out of candy floss?

Not To Bright Lights by Wippy or you can use Bright Lights by thegreathah.

go to the visualsettings.dat and change car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on
and car.defaultlight.night.emissive.on to higher values.

and yes, you will most likely get banned for editing RPF files.

Thanks!

Can i get a GTA Online ban for having a modified visualsettings.dat file?

Bright Lights is good, but I use it in conjunction with BEL.  If the lights are too bright, you can easily lower them in the visualsettings.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂
