Liberty City Coming to GTA V By the OpenIV Team

Featured Replies

Hey guys ik this might seem an unsual topic or a stupid question but the OpenIV Team is currently making Liberty City a Co-Existing map right across Los Santos and ik you can just force duty but will there ever be an LSPDFR update where you can actually go to the PD Station in Liberty City just like in LCPDFR?

IF YOU THINK THIS TOPIC IS ABSURD AND STUPID AND COMENTATE ON THINGS IDC

First we'll need to see if the OpenIV team manages to finish that project. Then to see if they managed to make it have working peds and traffic. Then we'll have to wait to know if the dev team of LSPDFR actually wants to spend money making it compatible with that map, because I'm pretty sure most if not all callouts have spawn points or specific prerequisites to be triggered that wouldn't be met on that map.

I might be saying bullshit, but that's the most plausible course of event to me.

I was actually thinking about this as soon as I saw the trailer, Daniel. I think it would be easy for the G17 Media team to pull off. I can tell not all people will won't to download it, despite it's potential (and I don't know if people's PCs will be able to run it xD) however I do believe G17 could make it an additional file. One good thing about this would be that theoretically, the OpenIV team would make more Police vehicle slots for LC and Alderny State, so people could enjoy more Police Vehicles.

I once tried LSPDFR in North Yankton. I didn't accept the callout (primarily because I had fell through the world) but at one point I got a callout, so I think generic LSPDFR callouts would work, however custom ones would have to be redone. G17 could easily add stations to go on duty.

The only way we will know is to wait and see! I'll be disappointed if LSPDFR didn't extend to Liberty City!

**Also I just noticed would it still be called LSPDFR OR would it be called LCPDFR: The Return? XD

Wouldn't that be similar to the content creator in GTAV where you can set ped density?

From what I understand of it, it's much more difficult. This map is completely new and not supposed to be in the game. So you have to tell the AI where are the sidewalks and where are the roads for the peds to walk on the sidewalks and the drivers to drive on the road. Otherwise the AI would go crazy not knowing where to go and what to do.

Ahh yes, I did not think about that. I still hope it will work out though, I think it would be a great addition to Grand Theft Auto V

Then again, if the AI is made compatible for that map mod, it's not 100% sure LSPDFR would work with it. Many callouts use specific, set spawns/triggers on the map, or specific circumstances to spawn/be triggered that will not be met on that new map. Would the devs spend time to make it compatible with it? Dunno, they already have a ton of work with the mod to begin with.

Far from me the idea to shatter your hopes, but you know...

When I was in North Yankton, I had LSPDFR active (I was on duty) and I got a callout for Traffic Stop backup. The road name was something like [NORTH YANKON_01] so I think some may work

I would definitely aim to support it.

LSPDFR won't need an update unless you're someone that insists on going to the police station to go on duty every time (just use the force duty command).

Mhmm but LSPDFR mostly crashes when I use ForceDuty :P

I guess you could just go on duty in LS and then goto LC
