Fraps Frame Rate Issue [Fixed]

Featured Replies

Hey. once again, I'm having problems. I've been using Fraps for a long time now and this has never happened to me, when I start recording on a game it starts with the normal fps and about 4/5 seconds later the frame rate starts dropping like crazy. It is impossible to play with. And this has only started recently, about 4 days ago, when I have only started getting into recording games again. Once again, this has never happened to me and has usually went at average speed (around 30fps or more). And no, it doesn't have to do with my SPECs, because even on the simplest, low needed requirements game it still does it!

Please, help me !

What's the space on your hard drive like? Have you defragged recently?

Have you updated your video card drivers?

I'm defragging now and shows 18% of the hard drive is fragmented, but it shouldn't matter because even before my first defrag I ever did it went fine.

And my video card drivers are up to-date.

Does it happen in the same area?

What do you mean?

EDIT: I have now fixed my problem. what I had to do was save the videos on another HDD. though I do not know why I needed to do this because it had never happened to me even when saving videos on your current using HDD. But yeah, I recommend you do the same because you get less frame rate drop .
