The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Well that sucked

Hello all!

So yesterday I got home with my first PC in years, a RoG G20 with an i7 and 1070gtx 8gb and 16 gigs of ram.

Brand spankin' new, and ready to embark on the LSPDFR journey.  :woot::woot:

Last night I was literally like a little kid getting an n64 for Christmas. So as soon as I got the PC setup, I went and purchased GTA V. (Retail Download not Steam)

Obviously the download takes quite a while, so in the process of waiting for it to install I attempted to atleast download LSPDFR, and to my luck the site was having a small issue

last night and that didn't happen. I stayed up until about 4 a.m. waiting for GTA V to finish and it still had some time to go.

I was defeated and just went to bed. So I wake up today, and TADA GTA V installed and was ready to go. Boom! I play out the first mission to get past the bank heist, and become Franklin, finish the little mini mission as Franklin and save the game.

I head over to this site, and finally the download link works! I install LSPDFR run it and get it to work. Had slight problems at first, then figured out I needed Rage Hook to be on the most current version as the retail version was not supported. Got that all done, and began to play LSPDFR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

$%*@ YEAH! I play a grand total of about three minutes then think it would be cool to add some Crown Vics and Tahoes in.

Well, I get back here download a pack of cars, download OpenIV and launch the app to do the install. All looks great, but then GTA V encounters a problem in the boot faze.

It tells me right after the social club login window pops up that GTA is corrupt. Well, I do everything from my memory on how to troubleshoot the game. I uninstall LSPDFR, OPEN IV and rage hook. NADA dude. Still same problem. So guess what I did about three hours ago?

Yup, unistalled GTA V completely. And guess what I'm waiting for? FOR IT TO DOWNLOAD.

$%@!

So, question, how can I possibly avoid this same sequence of problems from happening again. Please explain at a sub third grade level.

Thanks!!!

the \mods folder preserves all your original game files, so if you screw up, you can just troubleshoot things in that folder, or rename it, etc. You just mimic the game folder structure in \mods, i.e. \Grand Theft Auto V\update\update.rpf becomes \Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf.

Very cool, Sub'd to your channel on YT thanks for the help!

I will repost in this thread if I encounter any other gremlins regarding OpenIV.
