FPS Issue

Featured Replies

Hey All,

I recently got a new gaming desktop. I have; 3.1 GHz Processor TB to 3.7, nVidia GeFroce GTX 1060 3GB Card and 12GB DDR4 Ram. My laptop which had a GTX960M ran smoother than this...sooooo Im reaching out to ya'll for help.

I was seeing 60FPS+ when I first installed the game. The only visual mod I have is Make Visuals Great Again, and it was fine. All of a sudden, it's 40s out of nowhere, and float around there while playing./ I'm sticking in the 40s, no idea as to why, I was told 3GB of memory for a GFX card would suffice for GTA and most other games (not into VR or anything). Monitor is a 24" Acer IPS HD connected via HDMI, 60hz Refresh Rate (although I doubt the monitor is my issue.)

Note; I turned on VSYNC because I was seeing screen flutter...at random points. I've turned it off...FPS doesn't change. Ugh,

I've attached the settings I've been told were solid for 1080P at 60FPS. Can anyone take a look, offer some insight? I liked the 60FPS I was getting before but, now I'm in the 40s and I'm not too thrilled...

Any insight is most appreciated. Thanks, stay safe and happy gaming!

set everything to low and go back to high step by step, while controlling the fps constantly.

if you still have low fps (40 is low, i understand you <.<) ... have you updated the game?

rockstar is known for adding fps-killing crapcode in gta V to block modding, because they want to sell this stupid shark cardes.

Game is updated. I didn't have a set in stone backup with known working settings due to the transition from laptop to desktop...I took your advice...started from the default and slowly modified until I felt I liked how it looked. I moved a few settings from Very High to High...can't even tell a difference....fixed...running 60FPS even in pursuits.

Only place I notice a dip into mid-low 50s is FrameRape Blvd (where the movie premire is in Vinewood) I think that's graphic intensive for anyone but I'll avoid that section for now.

Thanks for your response!

MSAA eats a lot of frames. Try turning it down to x2.

Hi guys,

Having the same issues over here, when LSPDFR is not running my game goes to 70 fps but when I activate LSPDFR goes under 45. Any ideas on how I can improve it?

Please keep in mind that I tryied lowering the settings, lowering the resolution to 720p, playing windowed...nothing helps, the fps rang is the same.
