Thought I read somewhere on here that there was a way to edit the cars used when you radio for Backup is LSPDFR?  "Example I have Caption 14's cars installed and they have many skins, so when I radio backup needed I get a rainbow of cop cars. lol How can I make it  so the NPC backup units use the same paint/car type?

Yes like my car has the current paint used in Caption14 LSPD pack, so I call local units let's say it the sheriff well the Caption14 pack states it has I believe 8 Liveries, well the backup uses all of them, How can I make it so all cars have one scheme all drive say CVPI's for an example?

Not sure if there is an easier way but what I would do is locate the car that has multiple liverys for example: sheriff

Use Open IV to delete the liveries you dont want.

Open IV find where the sheriff.ytd file(s) are located. Should be in the mod folder assuming when you installed the pack you choose mod folder. Double click the .ytd file once located and it will open up a window. Look for the livery (there will be thumbnails of all the textures) when you see the liveries delete the ones you dont want. You must keep the one named (example car_sign_1) there, if its the livery you dont need there are two things you can do:
1 - I think you can rename for example car_sign_2 to car_sign_1 and delete the rest but I think it sometimes bugs that way

or

2 - You'll have to export the livery you want (say it was car_sign_2). Select it then click export selected file (make sure you remember where you export it too, best to make a folder on desktop for it).
Once thats exported click on car_sign_1 then click the replace button and navigate to where you exported car_sign_2 select it, it should then replace car_sign_1 with the livery of car_sign_2.

Its a bit hard to explain but hope that helps in some way.
Dont think there is a way to change what unit is called for back up in LSPDFR.

No problem, the more you use Open  IV and a mod folder things become a lot easier. It can be a bit daunting at first but as long as you remember to only edit files in the mod folder, get use to how Open IV works you'll end up enjoying it

So true I have spent the last week trying to learn how to work with the game files. been quite fun and frustrating at the same time. lol  after watching a lot of you tube patrols I just want my game to look and play that beautiful. :)

Yeah can be very frustrating! lol

Well I got my game running just how I want it but I'm forever installing different cars too many good ones out there!

If you get a bit stuck have a read of this (if you haven't already), helped me understand things much better

Good luck and enjoy
