Text Flickering -Unsure of Cause

Hey guys! At some random point, as I have no idea when this started happening, the text in mod-based text boxes started to flicker. Attached is an example of the issue. It happens with the attached dialog boxes, the "observations" box during traffic stops, and the menu for bringing a prisoner to a cell yourself or having an officer bring them in. I'm unsure of any other boxes that may have this issue.

Anybody know what might cause this?

Thanks!

i suggest waiting for the newest albo's common.dll so that this doesn't pop up. I mean, this doesnt effect gameplay much if it is only the error box message. All I can say again is wait for albo's latest common.dll file to be released, that way this doesn't pop up when you go on duty.

Fair enough! The only thing is, this also pops up during traffic stops, not just when I go on-duty. It also comes up when I arrive at a jail point and the menu for allowing another officer to take the suspect or bringing the suspect in myself comes up, which of course also isn't when I first go on duty. It's an issue with the boxes themselves and how they're displayed!

Do you think the common.dll file would fix that issue too maybe?

Did this start happening after you updated your RPH to the latest version?

Sadly, no. It happened maybe a week or so before the GTA update came up, let alone the RPH update.

Coincidentally enough, it was roughly after I turned up the PostFX setting to allow siren lights to be brighter, but that was the only change that I made to the game at all. I doubt that would be the issue (But I will turn it down and see what happens)

hmm that is a bit of a problem. I don't know the answer off the top of my head, but i'll look into it.

Also, on your question if the common.dll file will fix it,  I cannot say for certain. If it happens on traffic stops to, then most likely not since the common.dll is only for albos stuff. Does the issue  happen with all RageNativeUI boxes? These are the blue boxes that pop up when you are in a plugins menu.  It is the one in the top left corner.

"Coincidentally enough, it was roughly after I turned up the PostFX setting to allow siren lights to be brighter, but that was the only change that I made to the game at all." - if it only started after this, then this probably is the problem.

Unfortunately, I tried setting the PostFX setting back to it's default setting just after replying to your comment, and it didn't change anything!

As for the the RageNativeUI boxes, they work just fine, thankfully.

A friend of mine suggested that it may be that some of the mods just aren't compatible with new the RPH, but is that actually a possible issue?

I've attached additional examples of the issue, as it takes place in the above mentioned observations menu, and it also takes place in LSPDFR Computer+

ok if the RageNativeUI boxes work then it isn't anything with your resolution. As for some mods not being compatible, if this problem started before the latest RagePluginHook update, then it shouldn't be that. I guess we can wait to see when the mods are all updated  but in the meantime, ill surf the web a bit and my files and try and figure it out.

Yeah I'm not 1000% sure, but I'm fairly certain this issue started very shortly before the newest update, so I'm not sure!

I appreciate you taking the time for this, too!

yea no problem! I have seen some posts recommending making sure you have the most recent DirectX installed. I dont know if this could be a fix but i guess it is worth a try. If you already have the latest DirectX Installed, try re installing.

EDIT: It seems like you have a very unique issue. I really don't know to be honest. I mean i guess the best option is to wait until the mods update. On second thought, my guess is that it has something to do with albo's Common.DLL file not being updated to RagePlguinHook 0.49.

I actually think I changed the Direct X settings recently while playing around with what I could do, so perhaps that may actually be an issue!

I'll check it out and let you know, thanks!

Sadly it didn't change anything! I'm not sure what else to do, because this started both before and after I started installing plugins from scratch (after the update), so I'm stumped haha

I really wish I knew more for you! Sadly I am just as lost as you are with this issue since it is something I have never heard of before. I mean another thing you can try is messing with the in game settings such as resolutions and things under graphics. Again, I really wish I knew the issue, but you really have a unique problem I have never seen anyone have before. Just make sure your resolution matches your screen size and also turn on and off settings in the graphics tab. If that stuff doesn't fix anything, then I guess just wait for the common.dll. Best Of Luck As Always!

No worries, pal! I just appreciate you taking the time to try and help!

I tried all of the settings things, with no luck! Guess we'll just have to wait and see, eh!
