I am currently working on a (private) custom dlc pack to make my vehicle fleet bigger. Only have I run into a problem.

I downloaded a couple of unmarked cars I want to install as fbi3 and fbi4. Only problem is that these cars did not come with a custom carvariations.meta and I have discovered the default ones are encrypted.

I was wondering how I could still get the stock carvariations lines to properly install these vehicles.

FBI3 needs to use the POLICE4 carvar lines

FBI4 needs to use the PRANGER carvar lines

 

I hope someone has a solution ^^

they're not encrypted, use opensearch to find the dlc's that have them

 

edit: re-reading through this i think i understand what you meant. you looking for the stock police4 and pranger carvariation lines am i correct? if so, then you're right, they're encrypted. but it doesn't matter. just take any other carvariation lines you wish, change the names and sirensettings to whatever you please, and insert them into an un-encrypted carvariations.meta file.

the stock police4 and pranger carvar lines are inaccessible

Thanks it worked. It seems only the sirensettings really matter for the lightbars, which what I wanted to have working. I'm guessing the numbers are rgb-esque settings for the car colours

Native carvariations.ymt had been already unencrypted. Maybe, this is what are you looking for.

That's just carcols, I knew those had been unencrypted, but didn't know about carvariations.

Check the comments, tell me if you're managed to find it.

Yes, it is. It's the default carvariations.ymt from the original game. Even it contains every default emergency vehicle lines. By the way, no problem.

Yeah I meant official as in if it gets 'patched' or modified by Rockstar down the line, the 'official' mod gets updated, like carcols. Though I suppose it's less likely they'll patch carvariations.

Yeah, I hope R* doesn't patch the carvariations.ymt, even though it's less likely for them to patch this carvariations.ymt. This carvariations.ymt should be posted to modding discussions & and information.
