Doesn't the gameconfig affect story progression?

Featured Replies

I got a new pc and downloaded GTA, so now I'm in the slow process of getting modded.  I installed the gameconfig linked in my signature, but have no clear way to tell if it's working yet.  I recall at one point I installed a gameconfig and logged in to find the game completed and ready for me to mod.  However, this time, I'm back where I started, right after the prologue.  Am I being dumb, or should the gameconfig include a complete story?  I'm not sure.  I'm mainly wondering if I'm going to have to replay the story for the 50th time.

The main way to tell if your game config is working is to install a good amount of add on cars without a crash, but I'm sure you know this already. Gameconfigs do not alter story mode progress, however there are game saves that can be downloaded that have already been completed, such as this one. These alter different files, not the gameconfig.

No problem. Yea you most likely did. I've never heard of a gameconfig editing story mode progress.
