RageHook V42 not available for download, v47 broken, help!

Featured Replies

So hi guys. I am having a problem with Ragehook V47. From what I can tell as soon as I go on duty, or try to initiate an event (traffic stop, etc.) or just randomly driving, and even before the game launches sometimes, Ragehook just up and crashes on me. I am using GTA v1.0.1.877.1 for Steam and the current Public Alpha for Ragehook. I had seen another post from one of the Community Team that said that there are problems with v47 and to revert to v42. Problem is, Ragehook has disallowed the download of anything below v47, so i am stuck. Am wondering if I can post my log as well just so you guys can help me understand exactly what is going on. Thanks all. Would someone have a v42 download I could get at. Thanks.

EDIT: I am only running LSPDFR 0.3.1, which is still reporting "a new version is available" every time. GTA itself has not crashed yet. Only LSPDFR.

NOTE: To mods, if this is wrong, please tell me, as I don't want to be banned. I am simply seeking assistance to resolve my current problem with v47.

  • Just was curious since I saw it was on D:.  Once you get the files in all the right places, you should be good to go.

  • From a first glance, it looks good!  Only thing is, in your plugins folder, create a new folder called "LSPDFR".  This is where all of your callout INI and .dlls will go.

  • This looks perfect. :)   Your plugins folder is for non essential plugins, ones you have to manually load or set to load with RPH.  For example, dashcam, license plate randomizer, spike stri

I am still suffering from crashes even after updating everything. I do not mean to bump this but this is driving me insane that I have not gotten any answer that's been helpful. All i have is the LSPDFR app and that's IT! So I am really at a loss as to what is happening, as I have seen some other people having success, and would appreciate a response from someone who could assist instead of just suffering crash after crash after crash. I am now running V50 of RPH.

Based off your log, there seems to be two problems. However, the first problem may intersect with the second.

One of your callouts (Robbery) seems to be missing a critical audio file.  I'm not 100% off the top of my head which callout pack this is from, but I would start here.

What callout packs (in your plugins-->LSPDFR folder) do you have?

You should have a sub folder titled LSPDFR.  See here:

Do you not have that folder?

Do me a favor, please.  Take a screenshot of the main GTA V directory, then one of your LSPDFR folder.

Ahh, there is your problem. LSPD First Response is not a valid folder.  You unfortunately misplaced the install of RAGE and LSPDFR.

RagePluginHook should be in the main GTA V directory, not in a sub folder.

Here is my directory.  Please feel free to use my screenshots as a little placement tutorial for where things should be.

So as far as the LSPDFR / Rage install is concerned, i should probably wipe em both out and redo em clean as listed like yours.

EDIT i also had this log generated just now.

RagePluginHook_09022017_015326.log

Unfortunately, that log yields no clues or errors.  In your screen shots, do you have GTA V on an external drive? is that what I'm seeing?

(It should be obvious, but I have a lot of plugins in my game.  So your directory won't look as crowded as mine.)

Thanks. So just uninstall em both clean and redo them like yours? Sounds simple enough. If I run into problems I'll let you know. Thanks again for the help, I can't believe it was a stupid error on my end like this and it took this long for it to be found (facepalms)

Don't worry about it at all, my friend.  We were all new to modding. Hell, there's still a lot I don't know.  GTA modding is a long term learning curve.

You're welcome, and good luck. :) I'll be around for a few more hours tonight.
