So i want to mod, so i have 2 copies of the game. One vanilla or no mods so i can play online and one with mods. I do not have the steam version i have the Rockstar version or what it is called. So when i start the rage plugin hook from my mod folder it opens the vanilla version of the game. Is there a way that you can change the directory of the rage plugin so it opens the right copy ? :) 

You put Rage in the wrong copy

rename your gta folders so the modded one is the Grand Theft Auto V

 Are you serious ? look what i wrote. I have all the mods in the mod gta folder but when i open it it opens the wrong gta. It's hard to put the rage hook in the wrong folder.

I have rage hook in folder 2, but it opens the gtaa from folder 1.

Well I don't consider Rage a mod, I consider it more of a tool.

My next suggestion is to move the multiplayer copy to somewhere else on your pc for the time being, and re-install rage into your mods copy.

If that still fails then just delete the clean copy and use the one version of gta. If you're using the open IV mod folder you can easily switch between mods and no mods by disabling openiv's asi loader and dragging the scripthooks onto your desktop

this isn't an opinion thread, it's a support thread. I would've thought you'd figure that seeing as it's in the "support" section

 thanks man :) i have a folder with everyting so when i want to play mods i just drag all of the files into my gta ( the multiplayer version) and when i want to play online i just drag them out of the copy :) thank you very much for your support!

Different opinions can be helpful. I'm an EMT, I often have other opinions from other EMTs, some of which have saved lives, and some of which have been frowned upon. I'm not a dumbass, I'm trying to be helpful. Don't act like your having an opinion has never helped anyone.

your opinion on whether it's a mod or a tool is absolutely pointless however
