Controller doesnt work with mod

Hello everybody!

 

So I'm attempting to install a car mod (crown vic) and I use open iv and everything seems to work perfectly but, when I go ingame to test out the car my controller (ps4) no longer works with the game. I can use the start and back functions on the controller but nothing else. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it!
