Okay, so I got GTA V not too long ago and updated to patch 791.  I then disconnected internet so that I can play without it constantly updating.  So I installed all my mod such as trainer, car controls, specific guns I like, etc.  Everything worked perfectly fine.  So now that I have explored some in the GTA V world, it is time to install LSPDFR.  Come to find out my version 791 wasn't supported by Rage.  So I couldn't play LSPDFR unless I updated to the current supported rage version and this latest Rage didn't support 791 anymore.  So I updated the game to 877 which is the current version of Rage.  LSPDFR also works with this version I hear, but haven't tried it yet.  I then updated to the proper 877 version of ScripthookDotNet and ScriptHookV before I installed rage or LSPDFR just to make sure everything will work.  The game starts perfectly fine, but none of my mods work not even the most recent trainer.  What files am I missing to make my mods not work?   

What is the best patch to play LSPDFR?  Maybe I can downgrade or does LSPDFR and Rage constantly update to the latest Rockstar patch?  Please let me know so that I can either keep a specific patch by disconnecting internet or if I need to keep updating with Rockstar.

I reiterate, I can't seem to get any mods to work in patch 877 with the latest versions of ScripthookDotNet and ScriptHookV.  What am I missing?  Please respond.  This has been going on for a while and everyone seems to be on vacation right now.

Does anyone have the old Rage that will work with the old 791 patch?  Is it possible to make LSPDFR work on the old 791 patch?  If so, what files do I need and can you send them to me please?  Anyone?

You need Open IV and install the Open IV tools in order for your mods to work. I believe that's the problem because you need to fiddle with Open IV after every update.

Try running the normal GTA (via GTAVLauncher) and then play a little, and then go out and try running it, via RagePlugin Hook.

Thank you both for helping and responding.  I did need a lot of help.  It was a matter of bad timing.  When I was switching from 791 to 877 patch, many of the things such as scripthook were updated, but had some issues and I believe a fixed updated came out just after.  Well I was stuck with the broken one and nothing was working. 

So I gave it a few weeks.  I went step by step and first updated, then just the scripthook, and so on.  I finally got LSPDFR to work and my game to work as well.  Also a major setback was the my computer wasn't up to date with many things required to run these latest patches.  So I spend days updating my computer. 

So for the first time I was able to play LSPDFR last night.  It was only a trial run and everything is working great.  I installed my first LAPD car, but for some reason the police lights look horrible.  The are just a color and not much to no illumination at all.  How do I fix that now?  Is there a illumination mod that everyone must install to get proper illuminated police lighting?

I use a combination of Emergency Lighting Revolution and RadianceV. Also look at your PostFX GTA settings.  They have to be on high or above for the lights to look good.

Yep, RadianceV did the trick.  Love it and looks amazing.  Thank you for the link.

I just tried the ERL Revolutionary thing and I didn't like the wig wags. Any way to turn those off and just use the mod for the environment?

 

Okay, for some reason now I can't pull cars over.  I can go on duty and I receive calls, but I cannot pull a car over no matter what I have tried.  My left shift key works, but for LSPDFR, nothing.  What's the deal?

I don't know if this is a glitch with RadianceV or not, but now my headlights at night randomly turn off and on.  From the outside they appear to be on, but they stop illuminating the ground randomly and then turn back on.  Its super annoying and impossible to drive at night.  Is there a way to fix this?

Does this happen all the time, or only when emergency lights are on?

So apparently it has something to do with my PostFx setting.  It happens very quickly if I have Post FX on Ultra, but if I have it on Very High it happens less frequently, but when I have it on High, it doesn't seem to happen at all.  Very strange.  Any info on that?

No clue, sadly.  The highest I've had my postfx is on high.
