Beginner with mods

Featured Replies

I have zero experience adding mods to any game, and the fact I can run LSPDFR with a few plug ins is a huge accomplishment for me. There are a few that, after following the instructions, I just can't get to work. Is there any advice or an easier walkthorugh to know where the hell to place the files? This is more difficult than when I had to learn how to use SAP for the first time. :)

Most all mods have a readme file, and if you follow that, you'll be fine. However, modding can be difficult in the beginning, but once you get the hang of it you'll be fine. There are also some authors who publish videos of how to install certin mods. Research a little and make a copy of your GTA V directory, practice modding in that folder... That way you don't screw up the original clean directory!

It all comes with time and a small learning curve, it took me a while too!

Hope this helps,

Cheers

What mods are you having trouble with?

Police Radio, and I think Traffic Policer.

Yeah, I figure I am just going to have to put a little more effort in to it.
