Game running poorly

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

can someone explain to me why my game is running poorly while playing LSPDFR? I never had this issue when I played months ago, but ever since returning, the game has been running poorly. I experience the most lag when I respond to vehicle pursuits, and 10-12 unwanted police backup units will spawn on the map causing the game to run even slower. I shouldn't be having this problem because I have a quality system with a decent graphics card.

Here is a screenshot of my rig:

Try opening the game in windowed, at a smaller resolution.
Then try launching Task Manager, heading to the performance tab and looking at CPU/RAM utilisation during gameplay.
Post the rough average for both here.

Alright, here you go. I should also mention that when I start the game off in Franklin's house, the game runs perfectly fine, but after I respond to the first call after going on duty, the unbearable lag sets in. Let me know if you would like any shots of my directory too.

Thank you for your help!

I mean, while playing the game, while on duty.
Shrink your resolution to something like 1366x768 then have it on the side while playing for a little bit.
Besides, you can see right there that your RAM is already nearly maxed out.

I see what you're saying.. strangely enough though, I restarted my computer and it had an update and now the game runs smoothly and there's no lag. Thank you, once again!

I'm assuming Windows Update, but I'm glad it's nice and smooth!

@tony, Is it related to this issue?
