True that, but the argument that people died for us and our right to vote is invalid to me.

People also died Europe is in peace when it actually isn't that much, people also died for the democracy and for capitalism and whatnot.

I agree with you, they should have voted instead of taking it for granted, but there's no right in wrong.

It was without a doubt the stupidest thing in a case like that to not go to vote but on the other hand (disregarding that they didn't go at all) I think a decision like this shouldn't lie in the hands of only a small majority. Because this might be future influencing in a serious manner.

  • I think immigration is a plausible reason to vote against the European Union. It's not because immigrants are bad and all, it's because we are in the European Union which basically means we are requir

  • I wouldn't mind so much if the decision to leave the European Union came from well planned exit strategies and factual information. I respect those who had genuine good hearted reasons for voting leav

  • I don't think the UK will have to worry about not having a seat at the table, I frankly don't think there's even going to be a table in a few years.

It was over 1 million vote difference. Thats no a small majority. And a second referendum would undermine democracy

Honestly the voting age needs to be upped to at least 25. The youth in this country are too thick and irresponsible to vote. Half of the idiots protesting for a referendum couldn't give 3 roles of the EU and we're suppose to listen to them? They keep complaining about their future being ruined yet youth unemployment in EU countries is rampant in most countries. Britain being one of the lowest. And maybe if they grew two synapses in their brains they would realize they could move to a EU country by applying for citizenship

If you dont believe me that the UK youth is thick and irresponsible. Hes some dumb moron crying because she thinks Nandoes (A chicken restaurant) is going to close because we left the EU. Should we really let these dumbasses vote? Watch the rest of the video, you'll soon see why

In absolute numbers 1 million is much, yes, but when it's just about 1.9 difference it's a small majority. And yes there are some dumb people in every country, just like in the UK, but that doesn't mean everyone is dumb.

Everyone brings up how the Brexit Campaign lied to the British People, yes they did. However nobody speaks about how the European Union purposely delayed the announcement for the proposal of a European Army because they knew it would more than likely affect peoples opinions, and by not announcing it, people wouldn't be able to confirm the sources already out. Either side played a part in deceptions or lies during the Referendum, not just the Brexit side.

🕵️‍♂️ Always watching, always waiting.

I would also like to mention that just because those people complaining are young, doesn't mean their votes matter more than the elder british people! :)

Sure, they technically will be affected more on the long term (be it in a positive or negative way, they don't really seem to know, nor do they seem to care), but the elders at least have the experience and history behind them: they can compare how the UK was before they joined the EU, and after they did it, since they lived for that long, and thus can take the conclusions in, in my opinion, better way than the youth that was pretty much a little brainwashed by the history books praising the EU! :)

The world just does not work with everyone doing only their own thing. That's just my opinion about that.

The elder people lived in a completely different time and world, a world that was fed up with wars and conflicts. And many of them are nationalists, do not forget that.

Sure no big deal in being patriotic, but some people just want to shut their countries off and just stay under themselves, that simply does and will not work.

To me as a European, I can't really understand how people are against unity.

Yeah, I hate the European government and the German one, but that doesn't mean to just close your eyes, it needs work to change something about that system.

Well yes, but I believe that, as I've seen someone mentioning it earlier in this very thread, it is better to just quit the EU as it is and rebuild it from the start, because the EU as it is has too many sticks to put in the wheels of people truly willing to change it! :)

Leaving the EU as it is doesn't mean leaving Europe, unity can still be here (many countries have strong tights with, let's say, us in the US, and yet we're not in the EU!), and leaving the EU doesn't mean people are too lazy to change, I believe it actually is a very courageous choice!

If that way would just work, I for sure would be the first to agree with that.

You're right, the problem is that older generations are leading all the countries and even the European Union, even though they're totally unable to run the system the way it should be. There are - sadly - still many conflicts in Europe bcause of countries etc. an old issue we should have had overcome a long time ago.

I am strongly for a United States of Europe, but that won't be possible with people with their current mindsets, maybe it changes one day.

The problem is, however, also in the young generations, I see it in Germany on a daily basis that pretty much no one of is even slighty interested in politics and stuff, just like in the US, sad story.
