Huge frame rate drop after a few callouts?

Featured Replies

So the game runs fine very smoothly, I go on duty complete maybe about 3 callouts and then when driving around there is a huge frame rate drop/lag for some reason? Does anyone know why this is? Always happens after I've completed a few callouts.

I probably have about 4-5 plugins installed. Any help would be amazing, thanks!

@L321 And what graphics card do you have?

I have a

Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 Graphics Card

@L321 I mean the PC you're running is fine so that's not the issue.

Also what settings are you using in game, for example, how full is your Population Density bar? You see if you have set too much cars then it can lag when you are driving around.

And how much VRAM do you have on your GPU?

Hmm I'll check but I have the settings on the very lowest with it on fullscreen to see if the frame rate would increase but it hasn't. It plays up after a few callouts. Also, I have custom vehicles such as the police lambo and police chevrolet could that be causing the problem?

@L321 Ahh that's the problem. I have 2GB VRAM on my GTX 750Ti and I tend to get a lot of FPS drops.

What I recommend is that you try to use Razer Cortex. It's basically a program that boosts PC performance, here's the link: http://www.razerzone.com/gb-en/cortex

Alternatively, you could try to run fewer callouts and run GTA 5 at a lower resolution and lower settings even more.

Or you could upgrade your GPU. If you want to upgrade at a low price, I recommend that you wait for AMD's new GPU called RX 480.
