Problem with Sheriff2 install

Featured Replies

I have the the model in correct path . I used the blaine stealth county charger and replaced the all blue siren with red and blue for the top but when I turn the siren on,  the top sirens wont turn on. All the tail lights illuminate and the grill and ram do but the top does not. Can you please enlighten me of this matter. I changed the police file name to sheriff2 to replace in that slot.

Thank you finally responding it is police 3 was orig. file  I changed it to sheriff2

Try putting it in the police file it was intended for, if it works that means its something in your meta files (probably) that is messing with it.

thank you for the response .... I was also wondering what variable helps with the sirens bloom for brighter and reflection off of buildings like a large radius of the patrol car at night? Please respond if you can enlighten me on what part controls these in graphic.ytd?

The lightbar doesn't light up because, I don't know if you noticed, but ALL your windows are blacked out. Including the lightbar. That's something inherent to the sheriff2 and pranger car slots.

To solve this, go to the vehicles.meta file located in update.rpf/common/data/level/gta5, extract it with OpenIV, open the extracted file with notepad or similar, press Ctrl+F to open the search bar and search for the sheriff2 lines. Once done, look for a line that looks like this:

<diffuseTint value="0xAA0A0A0A" />

and change it to this:

<diffuseTint value="0x00FFFFFF" />

Then replace the original vehicles.meta file with the one you modified at the same location. It'll make your windows finally transparent, and the lightbar will light up.

You're welcome.

thank you Hystery, I was wonder if you knew how to reflect better for lightbars say on objects without using radiance? say more of a bloom for distance? If you could enlighten me of this issue in graphic.ytd that would help me a lot
