The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

LSPDFR 0.3 script causes GTA V to crash to desktop (RAGE works fine)

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Give a clear, detailed description of the problem:

Loading LSPDFR 0.3 in RAGE Plugin Hook 0.38.886.6940 causes GTA V (1.0.678.1) to crash to desktop.

Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem:

I used to play previous versions of LSPDFR months ago and really enjoyed the mod. It used to run quite flawlessly. Now after some time I decided to try out the latest version but I can't get it to work unfortunately. Coming here, seeking for help, is pretty much my last resort after trying everything that came to my mind to find a solution. I can start the game using the latest Rage Plugin Hook and everything works just fine, but as soon as I'm starting the LSPDFR script the game stops working, crashes to desktop with the infamous "GTA V.exe has stopped working" notification. I read all readme's and documentations regarding LSPDFR and made sure to follow each step as described.

State what solutions you have tried:

  • Removed all mods so only latest RAGE and LSPDFR were modificated files within the GTA V directory
  • Verified game cache on steam
  • Tried automatic as well as manual install of LSPDFR
  • Tried previous versions of RAGE
  • Started GTA V via RAGE / loaded RAGE into running GTA V
  • Tried automatic and manual (via console) loadup of LSPDFR script
  • Checked support threads
  • Excluded GTA V directory from my Anti Virus detection

Post what other mods you are using:

  • Open Interiors
  • PCTrainerV
  • Ped Conversation
  • Simple Foot Controls
  • x360ce for using Steering Wheel

(As mentioned before, I already tried running LSPDFR without any of these mods installed. I've never used OpenIV so the basegame files are unmodified at all.)

Hello! First off, thank you for like, one of the first well layed out support topics in a while.
It does look like LSPDFR does get detected before it crashes, can you try going into the Ragehook settings menu and deselecting LSPDFR in the Plugins tab?
Additionally, try removing dxgi.dll, I know this is for ENBSeries, but it can cause conflicts with Ragehook DirectX loading.

First of all, thanks for the quick reply.

So, I got rid of the dxgi.dll and also unticked LSPDFR in the Plugins tab in Ragehook. I started the game and tried to load the mod via console with the loadplugin "LSPD First Response.dll" command but it's still crashing unfortunately. I wish I could give you more information but I already stated pretty much everything I can think of...I'm totally lost.

So even when you start the game without LSPDFR loading, it still crashes?

No, the crash only occurs whenever I'm trying to run the LSPDFR script. The game itself with RageHook enabled works like a charm, so there has to be an issue or a conflict with the LSPDFR script.
