The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Ragehook Doesn't Seem to be Running past Rockstar Title Screen

Featured Replies

Introduction and Start:

Hello, I am very new to modding and love watching the guys on YouTube play (Jeff Favignano, Zach Houseknecht, Bay Area Buggs, First Thirty Minutes, etc...) LSPDFR and was excited to start my own adventure. Unfortunately things don't seem to be working properly. The first thing I did was make a duplicate GTA V by copying and pasting the folder and renaming the second one "Grand Theft Auto V SP" where the mods would take place. I tried following Jeff Favignano's tutorial ("watch?v=gCAuilz1nbs") first but his was too outdated. Then I tried to follow Benzo Effect on YouTube and his tutorial for 2016 ("watch?v=N-rJfpc3ywc") but my game and Ragehook are both newer and his didn't help either.

================================================================================

Game and Mod versions:

  • Grand Theft Auto V v1.0.678.1 Steam (From RAGE Hook settings page)
  • RAGE Plugin Hook v0.38.886.6940 PUBLIC ALPHA (From RAGE Hook settings page)
  • OpenIV v2.8.702
  • LSPDFR v0.3.1
  • ScriptHookV v1.0.678.1

================================================================================

Installation:

  • I noticed that the LSPDFR installation game with Rage Hook and originally was going to do that. However, when I start to initialize Rage it says that my game version was incompatible (RAGE Plugin Hook v0.36.877.6833 PUBLIC ALPHA) so what I did was take the newest version of Rage Hook and copy it into the directory and writing over all the older files. That made my game compatible.
  • I have all the Visual C++ libraries and am up to date with .net Framework.

Troubleshooting:

  • I had completed the campaign and thought that would hurt the Ragehook and LSPDFR so I started it back over where I would spawn back at Franklin's Aunt's house but that did not work.
  • Discovering Rage was out of date, I updated it.

What I don't understand:

  • It seems like Rage never loads fully. It shows up on the intro screen that has the Rockstar logo and sirens. It seems to act correctly and even has the "Enjoy" message but past that it seems to disappear. I do not get white letters in the bottom right of the screen. It never pops up saying that LSPD First Responce.dll was loaded successfully.
  • When story mode finally launches I do not have the shields on the map and F4 to bring up Rage console does nothing.

Conclusion:

Unfortunately, I do not know what to make of this and I am genuinely confused about how to fix this. I have attached screenshots of the installation folders and my system specs. Hopefully you guys can help me figure this out.

The copy that you want to use LSPDFR in needs to be called Grand Theft Auto V. It will not work with SP on the end.

This ^^^^^^ and you need to update RagePluginHook to version 0.38

That was my whole problem. Thanks!!
