My GTA 5 installed but not in Steam file

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I installed my game but it's only in C:/ Program File/ Rockstar instead in Program Filex86/ Steam/ steamapps

I even can't find the Steam file in the whole C:, would it be the reason why I can't plat LSPDFR as I installed the LSPDFR in the C:/ Rockstar/ GTA 5

kindly please share with me your experience, thank you so much

When you purchased the game, was it through Rockstar, through Steam, or another seller? If it wasn't purchased through Steam, then it wouldn't show up in your Steam Library, and it wouldn't install through the Steam directories. Even if you didn't purchase it on Steam, you can still mod the game and play LSPDFR, just like I am able to.

I purchased the game in some game shop, should I go download the steam then install the LSPDFR in steam/ steamapp instead?

From what I can tell, your game isn't the Steam version, which is completely fine. Since it appears to be the Retail version, it installed where it should've installed and mods should work fine for it.

For installing LSPDFR, you can simply install it where the game currently is, without needing to mess with Steam.

Tks for your advise, I'm now stuck in this blackhole for 20 hours, keep re-install the game and LSPDFR & ragehook, but still can't launch the Ragehook.exe

is there anything i missed?

Is your current game version 1.0.678.1? If it is, I don't think I can be of any more help to you as I don't have experience with that game version.

Did you install everything at the root of your GTA V game? That's where files need to be.

Hey Hystery, would you explain more about this? I did install LSDPDFR 0.31 + RPH 0.38 whcih both is latest version, i'm so lost now

RPH and LSPDFR have to be installed in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V. The roof of GTA V is where the gta5.exe is.

@Hystery I installed both RPH & LSPDFR in the captioned file, but is there any different on which install first?

I installed the LSPDFR first then extract the RPH latest version, but still can't load the RPH.

one thing special when I complete the LSPDFR, I can't access the the setting page which the first time load the LSPDFR (the page asked to load "All modes" one), is there any connection on this?
