Radiance V wont work.....

Featured Replies

Hi, I have been trying to install the Radiance V mod by BxBugs and I did everything that the instructions told me to do through Open IV. I even have my Post FX up on very high and still I have the regular not bright lights, I can barely see my lights during the day and it's very annoying. I hope someone can help me....

Did you use the automatic installer to make sure files where applied to their correct location?

Also set reflection to ultra and shadows etc that will brighten them up. I recently done this and it was stupidily bright! :D

Spoiler

This issue is so annoying. What I had to do was in OpenIV delete the visualsettings file out of the (mods update>update.rpf>common> data) and then also in OpenIV delete it out of the actual game "update" folder (update>update.rpf>common> data). Then go to Steam and click on library, right click on the Grand theft auto 5, click on properties, click on local files, and then click "Verify integrity of the game files", let it do its thing, it will replace the normal visual settings file in OPENIV in the original "update" folder for the game (update>update.rpf>common> data). Take that file and drag it to the desktop. Go into the mods folder (mods>update>update.rpf>common> data) and then place it in there. Now you have the original visualsettings file in both locations. I recommend a shutdown and reboot of your computer. Then I also recommend you load the game up normal (not ragehook). Once you get to the screen where it has "quit, settings, story mode" lined up at the bottom, you can hit "quit". Now go download a fresh copy of RADIANCE V. Install it as you would normally in OpenIV (mods>update>update.rpf>common> data). Once again I recommend you do a complete shutdown and reboot. Now launch the game with Ragehook and boom you should be good to go! (Jan 2019)

Try adjusting it yourself inside visualsettings.dat

Go to this path

Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data

Go down to where these lines are

car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on    6000.00
car.defaultlight.night.emissive.on    1500.00

These are my setting that I have, obviously day is day and night is night.

Try messing around with these or just copy mine and go from there.

Good Luck

Oh wow just realized how old this post is LOL
