I am after reading all the forums but i cant get gta iv file off non-read only and the game on administrator. thanks for any help.

1. Are you installing LCPDFR on an administrator account?

-If not, you may not have the certain privileges to run an executing file such as the LCPDFR installer.

-This may be the reason you cannot turn off Read-Only. (Don't know why you would want to do that though.....)

2. Pardon me but how does the Topic's title have any relevance to your requests. You asked for help on turning off Read-Only and running the game on Administrator, not for help on downloading the modification.

I think he means install, If GTA isn't read only LCPDFR can't write to it.

Are you running Windows 7?

If you want to get the "Read-Only" selected to the off position which is blank I understand it goes back to being selected due to permissions.

Try this: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc709691%28v=ws.10%29.aspx

I have tried disabling UAC for myself on my Vista but it doesn't seem to work, it might for you depending on what system you have though.
