Crashes Upon Callout

Okay I have searched the internet, and I still cannot find an answer. Rather than bumping a thread from July, I will readdress the issue. I have reinstalled ragehook, lspdfr, I have used different versions of ragehook. Ran everything as administrator, unblocked every file individually, disabled my virus protector (bit defender), started GTA V and then launched ragehook separately, and I still get this issue. 

It crashes every time I get a callout.

I'm at a loss. It seems like all the folders change back to the semi-read only. I'm running Windows 10, steam version of GTA. No other mods are being used. Any help is appreciated

You can find the user manual in your LSPDFR Download folder. If you still have questions after reading the User Documentation, review the LSPDFR FAQ; http://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/51162-lspdfr-frequently-asked-questions/. 

Ensure you have a folder titled "LSPDFR" and "plugins" in your root directory. 

  • The plugins folder should contain the following; 
    • LSPD First Response.dll
    • A folder titled "LSPDFR"

Ensure that you are running a supported version of LSPDFR. As of 2016-01-16 ONLY LSPDFR 0.3 is supported - No LSPDFR 0.2 plugins are supported for LSPDFR 0.3 unless otherwise stated

Make sure you have the latest RagePluginHook (version 0.34 is shipped with LSPDFR 0.3): http://ragepluginhook.net/ 

Please do so now and return to this topic when this is done and do the following;

  • Give a clear, detailed description of the problem.
  • Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem.
  • State what solutions you have tried.
  • State which version of the game you're using (Steam or Retail)

I have the LSPD First Response.dll, but not the folder titled LSPDFR.

Whenever I launch the game, I drive to the nearest police station. Few stutters here and there, but it usually goes away once I go on duty. I go on duty, pull out. I can pull people over, ect. But when I receive a callout (by itself or by pressing X, either way) the game beeps 3-4 times and closes.

  • I have tried manually unblocking everything
  • manually changing everything from read only to editable
  • started GTA V and THEN launched ragehook
  • disabled my virus protector
  • ran ragehook and gta v as administrator
  • pressing F4 once and game and reloading the plugins

Is there a reason why payday2 is part of your file path?

Can you Also post a screenshot of your Plugins Folder and the LSPDFR Folder that is sitting in the Plugins Folder.

inside of your Plugins Folder, just create a LSPDFR Folder if it isn't there.

Originally I was getting a steam error for trying to download the game, and it would tell me it couldn't save it in my existing folder so I made that folder. Happened to several other games so I just started putting them in there.

Is your User Account an administrator? Only ask because the issues with Steam and now this Audio File. If you go to the Control Panel you can go to the User Accounts and make sure the account you are logged in on has administrator rights..

Download and run this tool and see if it finds any issues

Yes, I'm the only user and I'm the administrator.

I ran the tool and it came up clean, 0 errors. Steam MUST be reverting the files or something of that nature.

Well I would tell you try reinstalling lspdfr 0.3 again, but I think you said you've already done that.. Can you manually play that audio file? and when you go to properties of that file are any of the box attributes checked?

I don't think running the Steam File Integrity Checker against your GTAV installation will resolve anything.. What about reinstalling Steam?

This site has some information for uninstalling and reinstalling Steam as well as trying certain steps before attempting to uninstall/reinstall.. Worth looking at..

Yes, I can play the audio. It sounds just like static, not sure if that's the actual noise or not.

So it just came up with an unblock option, I checked it and applied it. Going to test it out..

Nope. A log hasn't shown up either. Right when I get the callout, it freezes quickly, unfreeze for a brief moment, and then crashes. And nearly everytime that it's a callout that I didn't invoke, there's 4-5 beeps that go off. But if I press X and force one, no beeps. Would hate to have to go through all this trouble, I'm surprised only one other person had it.
