Error during Tick in script

Featured Replies

Hello. I was wondering of someone could help me with a small issue I'm having.

While I'm playing (and I've been able to reproduce this) during a pursuit, I like to keep the pursuit going rather than end the pursuit right away (just for fun). However, a couple minutes into the pursuit, I get Error: in script.LCPDFR-Obfuscated-11': (This has shown up other times as well, but sometimes it's a different number after Obfuscated rather than 11)

- I have the latest mod

- I ran the issue finder tool: No issues found.

- I've tried running in administrator mode (I have windows 7), and I check the logs and find this:

2010-12-21 18:29:15 - Error during Tick in script '0.1.LCPDFR-Obfuscated-11':

                      System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

                         at GTA.ScriptThread.OnTick()

-And this is repeated throughout the log file:

2010-12-21 18:29:10 - Error during NetHook.Tick:

                      System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

                         at GTA.NetHook.Tick()

Is this a known issue? The searches I've found recommended running as admin, which unfortunately didn't help. I've had this issue since the old version D when I first started playing the mod.

Thank you for your assistance/patients.

"Memory is corrupt". How much RAM do you have?

I can't see the problem. Someone else should be able to assist you.

That's fine. I appreciate it anyway. Googling unfortunately didn't reveal much, other than others with GTA4 have this problem with other mods (though the issue still may be related)

AccessViolations are always bad and lead to an unstable game. In this case it was caused by getting all peds and some were invalid but the check returned they were valid which means game memory is corrupted. Almost impossible to fix and hopefully doesn't occur often.

Please do not PM me unless really necessary (knowing you helps). If you think you need my attention in a topic, tag me.

You said it's hard to fix, but do you think that reinstalling GTA 4 may fix this problem? Or even just lowering the graphics (since it's a memory issue)?

EDIT: I did some more testing in game, seems like the only error message I receive ingame is LCPDFR-Obfuscated-11. ( I thought I got different ones, guess not)
