If you can drive using A and D to steer, then you don't really need a controller...but it does make it easier.

I only use a controller for driving, once I'm out of the car, I switch to keyboard.

controller is completely optional. best of luck trying to fly with wsad and the numpad though :P

I use a keyboard, but, also use a naga mouse which I key bind for what I need.  12 buttons for my right thumb alone. 

3 hours later, still trying to get this mod to work after finishing the game.

May need some sleep after reading more on the forums.
