Hello, so I recently had to reinstall my GTA V, due to x64 files going missing, and game having another error, and I really want to get back into the game, and play LSPDFR, etc etc, as haven't done since the end of November. I downloaded the installer last night so, all I have in my Grand Theft Auto V folder is,

PlayGTAV

Version.txt.

When I launch the launcher, it will come up and log me in, and it will load... load, then it will say "Unable to access the Rockstar Servers, Activation of GTAV Requires an internet connection" Its funny, as it always displays the message when the concept art pictures on the launcher, when it shows Amanda De Santa it will show the message. Always. So I have tried, looking into my firewall, disabling, Norton disabling, Verifying, Resetting Winsock network on Command Prompt, Setting date back 2 weeks, Deleting the Social Club folder, Re downloading the launcher, changing DNS to my original ISP ones. And tried 1 or 2 other fixes, including making a new admin account with just roman letters in it, (which fixed it the first time I got the game way back in September of 2015 but this time it didn't work)  But I just cant get the thing to work start downloading this 60GB of data, before I can play.

I copied and pasted the Social_club launcher.txt file  Boostrap.txt in GTA V, and Launcher. txt in GTA V for those that want to see them.

I am noticing a few Unable to get file version for the GTAV exe, but I am not really sure what it means, I am pretty sure its an error with Social Club, I also apologise if I am supposed to do screenshots instead than copying the text into the thread. Anyways, thank you in advance. I do want to say though, that this problem has been around since launch day, and Rockstar STILL haven't fixed it, or at least not for me anyway. I don't know if they will ever fix it, I shouldn't have to be trying to get other people of the community to spend their time helping a player in trying to fix an issue. Rockstar, get the game together...

Bump... I sent a ticket to Rockstar, woke up this morning and no reply, which is what I was expecting..

UPDATE-- I got it working, I uninstalled and then what I did was, is that I restarted my PC and booted in Safe Mode With Networking and it downloaded, and then I switched back to normal mode and then I can now play, time to catch up on the mods I've been missing out on. ;)

This is for PC:

 

Delete your Rockstar Social Club Folder in your documents

 

Try:

-Open Command Prompt as Administrator 

- netsh winsock reset

Then restart your PC

 

If it did not work try this: 

netsh int ipv4 reset

ipconfig/flushdns

netsh int ipv6 reset

Then restart you PC

 

If that did not work try this:

- Type “msconfig” in the Cortana Search Box and then click on MSConfig (Run Command)-

 

- On the Services tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then tap or click Disable all-

 

On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click Open Task Manager.- On the Startup tab in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then click Disable.-  Close Task Manager.

 

- On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click OK, and then restart the computer.Once you restart your PC, try launching the game again and let us know if you're still facing this issue.

 

If that doesn't work, try to see if you have any of these programs installed:

-Open up the windows App Uninstaller. 

-PremierOpinion

-MailRuUpdater

-PriceFountain

-RelevantKnowledge

 

If you do, delete them and run your Anti-Virus program.
