Hello LSPDFR community!

I recently bought GTA V via Steam so I would be able to use this mod. After getting everything installed via the requirements checklist, I can't seem to get the mod itself to activate even though both the RageHook Plugin and GTA V run normally. No way to go on duty, and police stations do not show up on my map. Can't seem to find a fix, I have run the troubleshooter by Albo1125 with no errors detected.

PC Specs:

i3-4130 3.40 Ghz

GTX 750ti SC

16GB Memory

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm very much looking forward to running LSPDFR. Attached is my GTA Root Folder Located in Computer - C - Program Files x86 - Steam - SteamApps - Common - Grand Theft Auto V

I noticed in your root that RPH produced a log text document. Can you post that so other users can perhaps take a look.

Attached is the Log, not positive but I am pretty sure it was generated due to the fact LSPDFR includes an older version old RPH because I installed version 29 and the unhandled exeption error did not continue. It looks to me like this issue was unrelated to the problems that I am experiencing now.

I will add that I was having some difficulty installing C ++ Redistributable  and had to uninstall/reinstall a few times, but as far as I can tall it is working ok now.

I have noticed a lot of users are reporting this same problem. Could it be something that has changed over the last few days? Any ideas for a fix?

if you have v.29 you should post that log because that log crash report was caused by the older RPH version

Where can I find that? For some reason this is the only log there is as far as I can see. When I installed version 29 I just unzipped and overrode all of the v20 files.

I also want to add that nothing happens when I press F4 while in-game, I have also tried running it with my anti-virus system turned off with no change.

No problem, I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

Do you have .NET Framework 4.6 installed? When you launch the game via RagePluginHook.exe do you see the custom RPH loading screens and stuff? Once you get in game, does F4 do anything?

Yes, I installed 4.6. I also use RPH to load GTA V, and I see the loading screen, but once I get into GTA V I don't seem to see any sign of RPH or GTA V. Nothing happens when I press F4 in game.

Strange, that usually happens when you copy your GTA folder to another folder and try to launch from there, but you don't seem to be doing that. Unfortunately, at this time I'm not sure what to tell you to do, but if I think of something, I'll let ya know.

Thanks, I really appreciate it. I bought GTA V so I could use this mod so I hope I can get it working.  Is the the normal directory for GTA V via Steam? Also, do you think would me installing the later RPH (32, then 29) by unzipping to my GTA V directory and overriding the old RPH files have anything to do with this?

Yeah that's the default Steam directory. Are you launching RPH as administrator? Maybe give that a try.

In regards to RPH 32 vs 29 -- It's possible, but unlikely as the archives contain all the same files and if you overwrote 32 with 29, it should have overwritten everything.

Yes, I have tried running with and without Admin privileges with the same results.

I originally tried launching the game with the included RPH version (20), then 32, then 29. I got RPH to load up (show the loading screen at least) using version 29. I'm wondering, does it look like could there possibly be a duplicate of a file that is causing it to act like this? Could be the same thing that makes it happen with a backup version.

I'll also double check to make sure all of the files are unblocked. I used the option to unblock all when I first ran RPH, but maybe it overlooked one or two?

I don't see one. You could try reextracting the RPH 29 archive to your GTA5 folder and see if that helps. The fact your RagePluginHook.log isn't updating tells me that for whatever reason, it's not actually 'hooking' into the game. I just have no idea why. One thing you could try is holding SHIFT while double clicking RagePluginHook.exe, hold it until a dialog box comes up. On the plugins tab make sure LSPD First Response is checked. Go to advanced settings, check the box disable directx hook, and save and launch. Once in game, see if you can see any police station icons. If not, you can revert the "disable directx hook" setting the same way.

Another thought, do you have all the latest Windows update including SP1? Have you done at least the first couple of missions in story mode where you're saved at Franklin's aunt's house?

Yes, I am pretty much up to date update wise.

I have only done the first 2 missions though, North Yankton and the car repo one. Not really interested in them but are there some more I should do and that's the reason this problem is happening?

That was another shot in the dark. If you've done the first couple missions and saved your game, you should be fine. I've even asked some other people to look at this thread because it has me totally stumped and you've seemingly done everything right.

Here is another shot in the dark

Is Steam Overlay disabled? If not disable it

Are you running any other overlays or recording programs in the background, Like FRAPS or OBS? if so disable them

Have you tried to temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and launch RagePluginHook 

Have you checked your windows Firewall to make sure GTA5.exe or RagePluginHook aren't being blocked?

Can you open up your RagePluginHook Config Console?
