Can't Replace Sheriff Crusier

Featured Replies

hey guys,

I'm having a bit of an issue. I have successfully modded in CVPIs, and chargers into POLICE, POLICE 4, POLICE 2, and FBI. however, for some reason I cannot replace the sheriff crusier (stanier) and the POLICE 3 (interceptor.) when I try, and load up the game its just the default stanier. Any tips?

How I replace vehicles:

Open IV:
 (In Edit Mode)

replace sheriff.ytd, sheriff.yft sheriff+hi.ytd sheriff_hi.yft with ones supplied in folder. (in it is police, I rename it.)

I've tried with the '99 model, the '99 +Whelen release, the 08' model, the new cvpi dev model and the LSCS cvpi.

Thanks for the help.

oh, no.. That might be it. I did it at the x64e vehicles.rph. Ill try that now and see if it works.

Are you sure you replaced the sheriff files at patchday3ng and police3 files at patchday4ng?

I tried it and It worked! thank you!

That's funny... Been trying to do this since last evening and whenever I do change the sheriff files from patchday3ng, it's just still there, except that theres a white-shade of the original sheriff vehicle and when I turn on the siren on the car-select screen that shade starts spinning on the flashlight's axle :D

Now as funny as that sounds, it has actualy been very frustrating to me :D

It did work for sherrif2 tho, however when I try to replace FBI2 in x64e it also changed nothing.

Regards

I'm having a similar issue replacing the Park Ranger vehicle, I have replaced it in the x64e folder as well as the patchday folder, and still the default ranger suv appears only.

To check if the desired vehicle(s) is(are) in a newer update open OpenIV and press "CTRL" + "F3" then search for the vehicle. (Such as "fbi.ytd")

Also don't forget to always use a mods folder.

well I don't use a mods folder, but I have backups of the game. But yeah did the ctrl f3 search it came up with two locations the x64e and the patchday folder, I replaced the files it found in their locations and still no luck, same old Granger appears.
