Location for Cop Hat to Edit

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Currently working on a ped texture for a Michigan State Police trooper. I have a bit more tweaking to do with the actual texture and was wondering what the location was for the cop_01 hat? I thought I found the right one, but it doesn't appear to change the texture or badge in-game. This is my first time attempting to do a skin! Thanks for your help! I've attached a couple pics of the MSP trooper I'm working on currently. A special thanks to DetroitDon for making the vehicle skin for the 2015 MSP Dodge Charger seen in the pictures! :D

Thanks for the reply guys. The pedprops location and s_m_y_cop_01_p prop hat is where I edited the file in the first place. I know that the badge will likely be weird because of the way it's mapped or whatever in the game and I have no idea how to edit a file like that (or even if it's possible). Here's the texture that I attempted to replace, but it still shows up as the original cop hat in-game. I thought maybe the hat was in another folder that's overwriting this one possibly? Hmm... Scratching my head on this one...

In OpenIV, stay in the main directory and go to the tools tab, use the search button, and search for the files under the name, "s_m_y_cop_01_p"

If you have more than one, overwrite the newest one that's in there. It'll probably be in the location of an "update" folder.
