March 10, 201214 yr So, I have been thinking about lightbars and all that, and I've been thinking about uses of lightbars in my area, and I realized something, and that is that, with most LED lightbars, and even some strobe lightbars, there is a possibility to turn off one side of the bar while leaving the other side on (the front and the back, not the left and the right). In my area, they do it all the time. They'll execute a traffic stop, and once they've done the initial talk and getting documents, they'll turn off the front of their lightbar, to save on their eyes, or whatever, and just leave the rear on, to provide rear warning. They do it for accidents as well. I was wondering if it would be possible to do this with ELS, like tie the back of the lightbar and the wig wags and all secondary lighting in to the Primary lights, and then tie the front of the lightbar into the Secondary lights, so you can switch the front of the lightbar off.
