LCPDFR and Native trainer problems

Featured Replies

Since my last thread was abandoned, Im creating a new one, talking about a new issue I've been having. When I downloaded lcpdfr, everything was going great, I had els, and a good car pack. Then it wouldn't stop crashing, I was fine. I could just redownload everything and redownload the game, not that hard. So I deleted my gta IV directory (this has worked before). And I reinstalled the game. So I went to get Native trainer, downloaded it, and pressing F3 did nothing to start it. I pressed F4. Nothing worked. I thought for a couple of minutes to think what can I do? So I realized that usually I download LCPDFR first. So I did that. But instead of LCPDFR showing up in the directory. It was empty. No lcpdfr files. Yes, I used the automatic install that put the files in for you. But it wasn't that unexpecting. Because when I downloaded LCPDFR, once I actually downloaded it, the pop up menu for lcpdfr where you decide how many pursuing vehicles you wanted, and how many foot officers you wanted, didn't pop up. So now im lost, and I don't know what to do, does anyone here know what I should try? Here are some overall points to this.

-I already tried reinstalling the game.

- Yes, I tried reinstalling both Native trainer and LCPDFR.

- I downloaded 1.1 files. Not 1.0

- I never have had this problem before.

- LCPDFR files don't show up in my directory after downloading it.

- I can't use the LCPDFR configuration where you get to choose how many patrol units you want pursuing.

If you need any other information, feel free to ask.

Let's go ahead and install 0.95 RC2 R2 version of LCPD:FR. If that does not work, try re-installing your game, or use a backup folder rather. If this does not work, well I don't know. If this issue persists, let me know and maybe I can continue to help you out! :)

i have had this problem in the past so i will try to help. i am guessing you use the trainer in this link here http://www.gta4-mods.com/script/simple-trainer-version-65-f2115

just go step by step with your installation. once you reinstall GTA IV with the patch from Rockstar provided here: https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/200145406-Grand-Theft-Auto-IV-Patch-7-Title-Update-v-1-0-7-0-English-1-0-6-1-Russian-1-0-5-2-Japanese-

once you have the game installed check it out to make sure it runs good. then install LCPDFR automatically. make sure you disable your virus protection while you are downloading and installing LCPDFR as some programs will block certain components from being installed. You should whitelist any part of LCPDFR so it wont be a problem later on :)

after you confirm that your LCPDFR is working then install your native trainer. the only things in the trainer folder you need to install are trainer.ini and trainer.asi. do not install the scripthook files that come with the trainer. they are outdated and the ones that come with LCPDFR are new. now that is the exact way i re installed mine because i had the same issue. so let's hope it works.

in the meantime, dont install ELS or anything else until we figure out what is going on here okay :) let me know if any of this helped your situation

Thank you! This worked! I ran LCPDFR and everything was working the way it should!

okay good. im glad that worked. just make sure that when you install ELS that you install ELS v8.5. This contains an updated Advanced Hook. Also before you add ELS make sure you make a copy of your GTA IV folder. that way you have an entire back up copy in case your game messes up again :D
