Modded backup GTA V folder issue

Hi guys, bit of a funny one here... with GTA4 i would have multiple copies of the game with various mods for LCPDFR depending on what country i wanted to play in...

With GTA 5, i did the same routine...installed the original game.. made a copy and modded that to preserve the original... however, when playing the copied version of the game it will not recognize any mods UNLESS they are in the original game folder as well! For example, the SNT will not function in the copied folder (all the files are there!) unless its in the original folder too! How weird is that!

How do you guys make copies that work so you dont have to wreck your vanilla folder?

I haven't tried it, but it seems that the latest version of openIV is exacly what you're looking for. It supports mod folders. Check it out at: http://openiv.com/
