Lcpdfr .95 RC2 On EFLC

Featured Replies

Hey, I got EFLC the other day and I tried installing .95 RC2, and whn the installer started I ran it as admin, then I clicked next, next, next then entered my info to log in, then I clicked next again and it connected to the website, then it tried installing and it said Instalation failed, please post this to LCPDFR:

Installation component 'LCPDFRModels' error'd!

at System.String.Insert(Int32 startIndex, String value)

at G17MediaSetupEngine.Installation_Components.tazershit.beginComponent()

at G17MediaSetupEngine.UI.Interface.wizardControl1_SelectedPageChanged(Object sender, EventArgs e)

at G17MediaSetupEngine.UI.Interface.wizardControl1_SelectedPageChanged(Object sender, EventArgs e)

Then I tried running RC1, it installed correctly then it would always crash my game ( yes i ran it as admin ) then I experimented around with it and i found out that the DSOUND.DLL was the thing that kept stopping my game from working. So I took it out and installed the other one the ASI Loader ( not recobmended ) and my game runned, but when it would load it wouldnt ever stop loading. This really puzzled me and i spent a long time trying to fix the problem but no sucess, any solution?

That error is not related to EFLC at all, it is because you are not running it as admin or your game data folder is ready only as is discussed many times in this forum.

Tried that, and I tried unlocking the files and it still isnt working, not sure if I am missing something but if it works for everyone else then I guess its something that I am missing. I try and make them non read but it keeps going back to the regular Read only setting.

Try to find out a way to fix that on google.

I know that there's Bug in Windows 7 that you can't make it not read only, Im too lazy to search for it :D

Try highlighting (selecting) all of the files inside the gtaicommondata folder and changing the read only protections at that level.

Are you using an administrator account?

I do have windows 7, but my gta iv never had this problem.

Yes onece again I am using an administrator account, I am running the programs as administrators but it still isnt working, and I went thru every single file and unckecked the box that said ''Read Only'' and I even clicked the common folder and did it from there, it isnt because of that stuff, theres something wrong with the lcpdfr rc2 file, because i am doing this stuff and it still isnt working correctly.

No, the problem is not with the rc2 installer. It works for everyone else. The problem is on your end with you lacking the ability to change the write protection on the game's files.

Try what skullcandy said and see if there are any anti-virus or other permissions issues that are restricting the installer.

Solid square just means that you are trying to change the read only properties of a folder and certain things inside it are not ready only.

At a file level, please check the write privileges (check the weaponinfo xml file and the weaponinfo.xml.bak file) and tell me what symbol they have.

The Read Only box for both of them is unchecked.
