This is disgusting.  All because people can pay in game money for real money is probably the only reason why're they're doing this and they care about losing a few dollars that would be chump change to them, and yes this applies to both online and offline.

It should be noted that almost all software EULAs have this exact phrase in them, and I'm fairly certain GTA IV did as well.  It's standard practice.
