Question about required specs

Featured Replies

So for reference here are my specs:

i7 4920k

16gb of RAM

GTX 770 2gb

2tb HDD

When I play GTA IV on my PC, I max out at 54 fps, with an average of around 30-40. I have heard that GTA IV is poorly optimized for PC and that good computers see disproportionate performance because of it. So should I expect a good performance from GTA V, since it is supposed to be better optimized? Basically my question boils down to: What is the link between optimization and performance, and how will it affect us when we're playing GTA V as compared to IV?

I wouldn't worry about it. It seems like you'll do just fine on GTA V. You should get 60 FPS.

Yeah, I think you'll perform much better than GTA IV. Rockstar has chosen the Max Payne Porting crew to port GTA V to PC, and a lot of people thought their porting of Max Payne was great. This means that most, if not all, computers will have a better FPS increase on equal or better settings, compared to what they played with for GTA IV.
