I have been trying to start my game after installing LCPDFR 1.1 but it does not want to work I have did a diagnostics test the first time I installed and it said everything was fine I started and then after signing into social club it says GTA IV has stopped working. It says to that DEP is blocking it I have add GTA IV to the list and I have tried disabling DEP but it does nothing it still crashes saying the same thing. I have tried many things like starting it as admin and still will not start. I have now run the diagnostics again but I do not understand what is wrong all it says to do is read diagnostic report. After I uninstall LCPDFR 1.1 Gta Iv works perfectly fine.

Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR.

You failed to read the instructions before posting in this forum. So we'll remind you of them.

Please do the following:

• Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks
• Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues
• Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
• Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
• Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
• Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder.
• Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation.
• Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.
• Install these: .Net Framework 4.5, Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012

If not, please now reply to this thread, and make sure that you do the following:

• Give a clear, detailed description of the problem.
• Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem.

The game will not start up after installing LCPDFR 1.1, a message pops up saying Grand Theft Auto has stopped working and says searching for solutions. It finds a solution it says "Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature that can help prevent damage to your computer from viruses and other security threats. Harmful programs can try to attack Windows by attempting to run (also known as execute) code from system memory locations reserved for Windows and other authorized programs. These types of attacks can harm your programs and files.

DEP can help protect your computer by monitoring your programs to make sure that they use system memory safely. If DEP notices a program on your computer using memory incorrectly, it closes the program and notifies you". I have tried adding GTA IV to the list to ignore the program but it says I can not add it. I have also disable (DEP) but that does not work ether. I have tried re installing LCPDFR 1.1 into the game automatic and manual but still does not work same thing pops up. Only version of LCPDFR that works that I tried is 0.95r2 which works perfectly fine. I have also tried LCPDFR 1.0D same pop up. I have not put anything else into the game except LCPDFR 1.1.
