Installing: Failed to find x86 version of d3dx9_43.dll

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am trying to install LCPDFR (1.0d) on my computer, though when I run the diagnostics tool it displays two errors:

- System dependencies: Failed to find x86 version of d3dx9_43.dll

One or more components required to run ScriptHookDotNet are missing. Please check the logfile for details.

- Log Check: Log files checked, see report for more details

I have a legal copy of GTA IV 1070. I checked if C++ Redistributable or .NET Framework were the issues but that wasn't the case.

Does anybody have a clue what the cause of the problem is?

Thanks!

Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR.

You failed to read the instructions before posting in this forum. So we'll remind you of them.

Please do the following:

  • Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks
  • Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues
  • Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
  • Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
  • Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
  • Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder.
  • Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation.
  • Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.
  • Install these: .Net Framework 4.5Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012

If your problem has been solved after following these basic instructions, hit 'Mark Solved' next to this post.

If not, please now reply to this thread, and make sure that you do the following:

  • Give a clear, detailed description of the problem.
  • Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem.
  • State what solutions you have tried.
  • Post ALL relevant logs (LCPDFR.log, Scripthook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log, AdvancedHook.log).
  • Include as much information as possible.
  • Post your system specifications.
  • Post what other mods you are using. This includes car and script mods.

Please note that failure to follow these instructions may cause this thread to be closed.

Hi, sorry for not doing it right the first time.

Problem description

LCPDFR does not start after installing or is not correctly installed.

Circumstances

Got error messages as posted in the first post when running the LCPDFR Diagnostics Tool.

Now I can't open the Diagnostics Tool and some other LCPDFR files like 'uninstall' anymore. It gives an error message "Can't get acces to this device, path or file. You may not have access permissions for this item.

I have also noticed that the dsound.dll file is always from 2010, and those of people in tutorial videos are from 2013.

Solutions

Uninstalled and reinstalled LCPDFR multiple times, also using different versions, both manual and automatic.

Logs

Couldn't find LCPDFR.log or ScriptHookDotNet.log

System

ASUS K53SC - Windows 7

Intel Core i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz (Intel Turbo Boost up to 2.70?)

4GB memory

NVidia GeForce GT 520MX, 1GB

Intel HD Graphics (integrated): so I have both the Intel and the more powerful NVidia. This gives some problems but I won't go into detail about that in this topic, because that is an entirely different subject. I don't think this problem has to do with it, I probably just messed something up with the files...
