[SOLVED] GTA IV Crashes when on Main Screen

Featured Replies

Hello again, gotta be my 4th time having a issue with GTA IV and posting in the forums to seek help on the issue.

Now, the issue I am having is when I start GTA IV it starts up, takes me through the R* logos, and then once I hit the menu to "PLAY" GTA IV... Crash. I have tried to delete my savegames. I have also gathered a error that apparently caused a blue screen before all this happened. The blue screen error said something about a PRT, PRL, PLR, or whatever _LIST_CORRUPT. I think it was one of those, looking like or similar to this; PRT_LIST_CORRUPT. I researched the error, but it was a bunch of gibberish to me. Some MS dev page. Could this Corrupt file be causing this? What will I need to do to fix this?

Please respond ASAP! Need to get some recording done.

Thanks!
