Route 3 Closed in NJ After Truck Accident, 2 Rescued From Van

We were on our way home down this highway which has become known for its many accidents in the Seacaucus area. We sat for about two hours crawling through the Meadowlands, where a small fender bender that happened during the jam contributed to the backed up line of cars, closing the right lane. Just before Secaucus, the entire highway was closed due to a "traffic emergency," diverting all the traffic to residential streets. Later we found out what happened:

A truck hauling what appears to be a crane hit a bridge because his load was too tall. The crane fell on a van driving next to the truck, trapping them until firefighters were able to rescue them. No one was killed.
