I had GTA, went on one day oh black screen after the load up (ONE SECOND OF SEEING GAME THEN IT HAPPENS)? Alright I'll just re-install. Re-install put all my ELS/Trainer/LCPDFR and cars / peds / models....Boom crashes, unstall again re-do it.... BOOM again?

 

What's the problem? The cars / ped's im using? 

 

Please help me ASAP!

 hey vinnie. remember if you installed ELS AFTER you installed LCPDFR you replaced an up to date file that LCPDFR must have. its the advanced hook. if that is what happened (and you will know because your advanced hook date should say 2015..the old one is from 2010) please check your GTA IV folder for that. if you have the old one you will need to re install LCPDFR.

 

ALSO VERY IMPORTANT. START BACKING UP YOUR FILES!!!!!!!! so if this works and your game works again you need to make another copy and store it on your computer somewhere in case you do something else and it messes up again. get back to me and if this isn't the problem we'll go further.

okay i just wanted to make sure that you installed ELS before you installed LCPDFR.

 

as far as the crash i cant tell if its lcpdfr related since it crashed so quick. you can delete your savegame.fr file first just to see if its bad.

 

  if that dont work, its possible you may need to re install GTA IV. have you run the diagnostics log just to make sure everything was good?

 

once we get this going i wanna make sure before you install anything you let me know so i can make sure you are doin it right :P

 

its so hard to pin down without a log of some sort. see what you can come up with. we may need smarter help than me :)

try deleting the samegamefr first. the game is so simple but when you start installing mods without really knowing what is going on its very hard. its taken me two months to finally get it right.

 

if you get it running we'll go mod by mod and install each one separately next time so it doesnt keep happening.

no we will be fine. we just need to make sure that you let me know what you are installing and i can give ya special instructions if needed. i just dont want ya to have to keep redoing this like i had to. now i am home from work so i can help out a little bit. is there a chance you have just the GTA IV file backed up somewhere? so we don't have to re install that whole thing?

Ok, I got a fresh slate, whats first?

 

LCPDFR, Trainer, Cars, Peds , ELS?

okay first thing is make sure your GTA IV game is working all by itself.. start the game and do the first mission with roman. just to make sure. if it does work then make a backup copy before you do anything else. once ya got a backup copy stored then hit me back
