Anyone Have a Clean Version (unmodified) version of a Max Payne 3 vehicle.img file?

Featured Replies

So I am going to attempt to convert some vehicles from Max Payne 3 to Grand Theft Auto IV. I was wondering if anyone of you kind people who have the game would be so kindly and send the vehicle.img file so I can export the vehicles and convert them.

Thanks,

P.S. to the moderators and community staff,

1. Sorry if this is in the wrong section to post this forum. I think it's the correct spot. If not, could you please move it in its appropriate section?

2. I'm not really sure if this is allowed or not. I think it's fine but if you think different, I'd like you to explain why with either a reply in the thread or a PM why because I honestly don't know why it would be. I won't argue or anything, I am just curious.

Not a mod, but I'm 90% sure that this is illegal and falls under piracy. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

That's what I was thinking too, but how do converters get the GTA V files. Most got them from rippers. So I'm not 100% sure about it tbh lol!

I just checked my Max Payne 3 installation and it doens't use any img files at all,

The entrie game is build around .rpf files.

I have a steam install though, but I don't think that a disc install would use other files.

I did find these files:

vehs01.rpf

vehs02.rpf

vehs03.rpf

vehs04.rpf

vehs05.rpf

Which looks like the files for the cars,

But there arn't any handling or ide files with, I could not find any texture files

either. My gues is that you will have to do a MAJOR convert to put them in GTA IV.

The files are about 35MB Each btw.

Let me know if they are useful to you, but my guess it that they aren't,

It looks like they took a completly different aproach on Max Payne.

Kind Regards,

VenomXNL

We don't mind if individual vehicle backups are provided (it seems unlikely that would cause any trouble) but we don't really like entire vehicle archive backups being shared.  We definitely won't stop anyone from trying to share them in private manners, but we don't like them being shared openly on the forums or elsewhere on our site.  If you have a link to another website that has a backup archive, we are okay if that gets posted - we just don't want the whole thing on our site.  Better safe than sorry, really.  In essence: if you discuss it privately (a PM for example) and not on our forums, or only provide a link to another site, we're fine with that.
