I just bought gta IV on steam to be able to play this mod (yes, i bought the game just to mod it with police mod).

 

Obvioulsy I'm quite the noob, and I wanna ask you guys something some of you may even laugh about lol.

 

I wanna play GTA iv with this police mod, and I want it to be quite realistic. I have a decsent computer, but I don't feel like stacking the game with too many mods. What should I think of downloading? I'd like a few realisticly looking police cars, with realistic functions and stuff.

 

Obviously, I haven't tried any mods yet, as I'm still downloading the game. I understand that some of my questions might get responded to once I actually try the first response. I have played gta iv on ps3, so I'm familiar with the game (also played V ofcourse).

 

And last: Do i need to play the game at all before installing the mod? I'm guessing finish the first mission then install the mods I want?

And, No you do not "Need" to do the first mission, But it is recommended unless you feel like doing it every time you play lol
