Overclocking GPU

Hey guys!

I have a Zotac GTX 560Ti and I just OCed it to:

GPU Clock: 917 MHz

Memory Clock: 1021 MHz

Shader Clock: 1834 MHz

VDDC: 1.00V

from its stock-

GPU Clock: 822 MHz

Memory Clock: 1002 MHz

Shader Clock: 1645 MHz

VDDC: 1.00V

I just ran the msi Kombustor stability benchmark test with FullScreen res. 1600X900 'Xtreme Burn-in' to get some 14-17 FPS at 35 degrees-67 degrees (max) for 10 minutes. As you know, the Xtreme burn-in utility puts unrealistically heavy load on the GPU and I was running a big-time risk to crash my whole machine,I was indeed scared to my wits. But as y'all can see from the results, the test went well and the card performed very nicely.

So,what's the thread about? Well,I'm kinda newbie in this OC'ing thingy and I'd like some tips or comments, more preferably about how well did the card perform, taking the stats into account.I know (as I've seen) that many peeps here have got the 560Ti itself, please share some opinions/knowledge here.

Thank you.

Best,

Dhruv.

Not bad actually but one thing I have to warn you about overclocking is your PSU, make sure your PSU can take the strain from the graphics card otherwise you may have a risk of burning your PSU out, overclocking is always a risky thing to do with any pc, only do it if its needed, if you feel your pc runs fine without overclocking then don't do it, just because other people do it and it seems cool doesnt mean you have to do the same.

I've been in the area of overclocking, these days I don't even care about my FPS anymore, my Core 2 Quad and 450GTS does the job for me.

Thanks,Kevin.I considered the GTS450 too before buying my 560Ti,but decided that it'd be a bit below the line to satisfy my needs. And I was obliged to OC it,as the factory OC was not quite correct. It crashed and gave BSODs to my gaming PC every 10 minutes. The first time I messed with it,I had to underclock it so that it was really stable. This time,I tried something new and went beyond the factory settings to actually overclock it.
