Multiple Cop Skins (ped editing)

Featured Replies

So I've started working with OpenIV, 3dsmax and gims trying to learn how to copy / paste ped models.

Im trying to take the m_y_cop model (which by default has short sleeves, long sleeves, winter coat, and rain coat) and copy the short sleeve shirt over the other 3 since I never use them. If I can figure it out, it would basically mean that the model would have 4 different shirts and I could put textures for 4 different departments in and switch uniforms the same way I switch car skins.

I've been playing for a few days trying to get the model copied, it seems like a simple copy/paste operation since I just want to clone an existing model instead of making something new but so far it hasn't worked for me.

I'm going to keep trying to figure it out, but I thought I'd see if any of the more experienced ped modelers have already done something like this or could provide some tips about how to make it work.

I know you can have 4 different short sleeve textures (see the sticky on the Content Mods board). I don't know if you can make the other shirts not appear.

As long as I can have multiple shirt textures then I'm happy and that sticky seems way more simple than what I'm trying to do.

I skimmed it earlier but I got distracted and missed the concept of adding multiple short sleeve shirts lol. Thanks for reminding me to read it carefully!
